Privacy Policy

Football Legend ("the App") is published by Stefanica Stefan Gheorghe PFA ("we", "us", "our"). This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, why, and how we protect it.

By using Football Legend you agree to this policy. If you do not agree, please uninstall the App.

1. Data We Collect

1.1 Account Data (optional)

If you create an account to enable cloud saves, we collect:

Email address and password (managed by Firebase Authentication)
Display name (if provided)
Firebase User ID (UID)

You may use the App without an account. Guest users' data is stored only on their device.

1.2 Game Data

Your game progress (club, players, season, finances, trophies, settings) is stored locally on your device using AsyncStorage. If you opt into cloud sync, a copy is also stored in Google Firebase Firestore under your account.

1.3 Analytics Data

We use Firebase Analytics to understand how the App is used. This includes:

Anonymous usage events (e.g., match played, season completed, shop opened)
Screen views
User properties (current season, country, difficulty level)
Device type, OS version, app version

You can disable analytics in the App's Settings screen.

1.4 Session Analytics (Microsoft Clarity)

We use Microsoft Clarity for session analytics such as heatmaps and interaction patterns. Clarity does not collect personal information. For details see Microsoft Clarity Terms.

1.5 Crash Reports

We use Sentry to collect crash reports in production builds. This includes:

Stack traces and error messages
Device model, OS version, app version
User ID (if logged in) for debugging purposes
Screenshots at the moment of crash (UI state only, no personal content)

1.6 Advertising Data

The App displays Google AdMob rewarded ads. AdMob may collect:

Device advertising identifier (IDFA on iOS, GAID on Android)
IP address (for approximate location / ad relevance)
Ad interaction data

On iOS 14.5+, we request your permission via the App Tracking Transparency (ATT) prompt before accessing the advertising identifier. You may decline without affecting core gameplay.

EU/EEA users are shown a GDPR consent form on first launch. You can change your ad preferences at any time via the "Privacy Settings" option in the App's Settings screen.

1.7 In-App Purchase Data

Purchases are processed by Apple App Store or Google Play Store. We do not collect or store your payment information. We receive only a transaction identifier and product ID to credit your account.

4. Data Retention

Local data: Stored until you uninstall the App or clear app data.
Cloud saves: Stored in Firestore until you delete your account.
Analytics: Retained by Firebase for up to 14 months, then aggregated.
Crash reports: Retained by Sentry for 90 days.
Ad data: Governed by Google's retention policies.

5. Your Rights

Under GDPR and applicable laws you may:

Access your data — contact us and we will provide a copy.
Delete your account and all associated cloud data via Settings → Danger Zone → Delete Account in the App.
Withdraw consent for analytics (Settings → disable analytics) or ads (Settings → Privacy Settings).
Opt out of tracking on iOS via ATT prompt or device Settings → Privacy → Tracking.
Data portability — contact us for an export of your Firestore data.
Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

6. Children's Privacy

Football Legend is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

7. Data Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including:

Firebase Authentication with encrypted credentials
Firestore security rules restricting access to authenticated users' own data
HTTPS for all network communications

No system is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security but we take reasonable precautions.

8. International Transfers

Your data may be processed in the United States and other countries where our service providers operate. These transfers are governed by Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent safeguards.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last Updated" date at the top will change. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance.
