Terms and Conditions

Welcome to Microlearning ("the App"). By creating an account, uploading content, or using any feature of the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. User-Generated Content & Copyright

• You are solely responsible for any content you upload, generate, share, or distribute through the App, including but not limited to documents, books, notes, and AI-generated outputs.
• You represent and warrant that you have the legal right to upload and process any document you submit. Uploading content that is protected by copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property rights without proper authorization from the rights holder is strictly prohibited.
• The App provides AI-powered analysis tools. The AI output is derived from the content you provide. We do not verify the legality or ownership of uploaded materials.
• In the event of any copyright dispute, infringement claim, or legal action related to content you uploaded or generated, you bear full responsibility. Microlearning, its developers, and affiliates shall not be held liable for any damages, costs, or legal fees arising from your use of copyrighted materials.
• We comply with applicable intellectual property laws. If we receive a valid takedown request or legal notice regarding your content, we may remove the content immediately and suspend or terminate your account without prior notice.

2. Account Use & Conduct

• You must provide accurate information when creating an account.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
• We reserve the right to limit, suspend, or permanently terminate any account at our sole discretion for reasons including, but not limited to:
  • Uploading copyrighted or illegal content
  • Abusive, fraudulent, or automated misuse of the platform
  • Attempting to exploit, reverse-engineer, or manipulate the credit system
  • Violating any provision of these Terms
• We may take action without prior warning if we believe the violation is severe.

3. Credit System

• The App uses a credit-based system to manage access to AI-powered features (dissection, chat, sharing, translation, etc.).
• Credits may be purchased through in-app purchases or earned through specific actions (e.g., marketplace sharing).
• Credits are non-refundable and non-transferable unless explicitly stated otherwise.
• Credit prices and costs for features may change at any time. We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of significant pricing changes.
• We are not responsible for any loss of credits due to technical issues, failed transactions, account suspension, or any other circumstance. We do not guarantee the preservation of credit balances.

4. Payments & Subscriptions

• Certain features (such as ad removal) may require payment or subscription.
• All payments are processed through the respective app store (Apple App Store / Google Play Store) and are subject to their terms and refund policies.
• We do not store or process payment information directly.
• Subscription features and pricing may change. Active subscriptions will be honored for the duration of the current billing period.

5. Dissection & Processing Failures

• AI-powered dissection is a complex process that depends on document quality, format, and content. We cannot guarantee successful processing of every document.
• If a dissection fails, you will receive one free retry automatically. If the retry also fails, please contact our support team for assistance.
• We will review failed dissections on a case-by-case basis and may offer additional retries or credit refunds at our discretion.
• Documents that are scanned images without OCR text, heavily formatted, or corrupt may not be processable.

6. Limitation of Liability

• The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.
• We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.
• To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Microlearning and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, credits, profits, or goodwill.
• Our total liability for any claim arising from the use of the App shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
• We are not responsible for the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of AI-generated content. All AI outputs should be treated as supplementary educational material and not as authoritative sources.

7. Data & Privacy

• We collect and process personal data (email, name) solely for account management and App functionality.
• Uploaded documents are processed on our servers and via third-party AI services (Google Gemini API) for the purpose of content analysis. We do not sell or share your documents with third parties for marketing purposes.
• We implement reasonable security measures to protect your data, but we cannot guarantee absolute security.
• You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us.

8. Marketplace & Sharing

• The App includes features for sharing dissected books and a marketplace for listing content.
• By sharing or listing content, you confirm that you have the right to distribute it.
• We are not responsible for the content shared between users. Recipients use shared content at their own risk.
• We reserve the right to remove any marketplace listing that violates these Terms.

9. Modifications to Terms

• We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
• Material changes will be communicated through the App or via email.

10. Termination

• You may stop using the App and delete your account at any time.
• We may terminate your access at any time for violation of these Terms.
• Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately. Any remaining credits are forfeited.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Romania. Any disputes shall be resolved in the competent courts of Romania.
