By using NomNom ("the app", "we", "our"), you agree to the following terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

1. Service Description

NomNom is a nutritional macro-tracking application that uses artificial intelligence to estimate the nutritional content of food from photos and text descriptions. The app also provides an AI nutrition coach, barcode scanning, and meal planning features.

2. Not Medical Advice

NomNom is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice. All nutritional estimates are approximations generated by AI and may not be accurate. The AI coach provides general wellness suggestions, not professional dietary or medical guidance.

• Do not rely solely on NomNom for dietary decisions related to medical conditions (diabetes, allergies, eating disorders, etc.).
• Always consult a qualified healthcare professional or registered dietitian for medical nutrition advice.
• Nutritional values shown are estimates only and may differ from actual values.

3. Accounts

• You may use the app as a guest or create an account with an email and password.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
• Guest accounts are temporary and data may be lost if the app is uninstalled or after prolonged inactivity.
• We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

4. Credits System

• NomNom uses a virtual credit system for AI-powered features (food scanning, coach chat).
• New accounts receive a starting balance of free credits.
• Additional credits can be earned by watching rewarded video ads or purchased via in-app purchases.
• Credits have no real-world monetary value and cannot be exchanged, transferred, or refunded except as required by applicable law.
• Unused credits do not expire as long as your account remains active.
• Barcode lookups and manual food entries are always free and do not require credits.

5. In-App Purchases

• Credit packs may be available for purchase through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
• All purchases are processed by the respective app store and subject to their refund policies.
• Prices are displayed in your local currency and may vary by region.
• Flash sales and promotional pricing are time-limited and may change without notice.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Attempt to manipulate the credit system, exploit bugs, or claim fraudulent ad rewards.
• Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to interact with the app.
• Upload illegal, harmful, or inappropriate content.
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the app.
• Use the AI coach for purposes unrelated to nutrition and health.

7. Content You Provide

• You retain ownership of photos and text you submit to the app.
• By using the app, you grant us a limited license to process your photos and text for the purpose of providing nutritional analysis and coaching services.
• We do not sell your photos or personal content to third parties.

8. AI-Generated Content

• Nutritional estimates, coach advice, meal plans, and recipes are generated by artificial intelligence.
• AI-generated content may contain errors, inaccuracies, or inappropriate suggestions.
• We make no guarantees about the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of AI-generated content.
• You use AI-generated nutritional information at your own risk.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• NomNom is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.
• We are not liable for any health consequences resulting from reliance on the app's nutritional estimates or AI coach advice.
• We are not liable for loss of data, credits, or service interruptions.
• Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid for credits in the 12 months prior to the claim.

10. Availability

• We strive to keep the app available but do not guarantee uninterrupted service.
• We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time.
• Scheduled maintenance and updates may temporarily affect availability.

11. Intellectual Property

The NomNom app, including its design, code, AI models integration, mascot characters, and branding, is our intellectual property. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the app without written permission.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

13. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Romania. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Romania.

14. Delete Account & Data

You have the right to request deletion of your account and all associated personal data (meals, photos, coach conversations, and profile information). To request deletion, contact us at:
